Good friends, good times.

We were back in Kentucky after Thanksgiving for an extended visit. We were so pleased to get an invitation to play on our first day back. We went over to Angie and Sarah's house for some good fun together. Maura filmed a movie of the incredibly photogenic Sarah.

Angie had a really fun art project. She bought a gingerbread cookie decorating kit from Crayola and we baked the cookies then let the kids paint them. The kids couldn't wait to get their paintbrushes and get to it.

Sarah and Maura were just going to town with their paint.

Maura loves crafts of any kind and if they also involve food, it's an added bonus. It was interesting to see each girls personal painting style. Maura used every single color available.

Lily liked the monochromatic look with just a splash of an accent color.

Sarah was our blue girl and kept to a very strict color scheme.

Here is Maura's finished product. The eyes are a bit scary now that I look back at the picture. It was really fun, though, and the kids loved eating what they made.

Maura's foray into the world of dress up. Up to this point, she's been a bit reluctant to don funny clothes and pretend to be someone else, but at Sarah's house she spied the high heels and she was hooked. Even though she kept tripping, she kept reapplying those shoes and walking around in them. I hated to tell her that the novelty of high heels really does wear off quickly.

Maura and Lily playing together with the doll house. This is going to have to be a future birthday present for her because she loves doll houses whenever we find them to play with. The girls just really had fun together and us mommies had a great time socializing.
