Our Groundhog Day party has become a random, but fun tradition. It all started when Lorie spied these cupcakes in a magazine...
A new tradition was born! Did she run out and purchase the ingredients to make these adorable groundhogs right away? Nope. She planned the party, then commissioned me to make them! I've been making them ever since. They are adorable, but horribly time consuming to make. The kids always love them, though, so I continue to perservere! Mom and Dad hosted the party this year, so we took our groundhog cupcakes and traveled. It was all family and also Joanna and Drew.
Aunt Katie brought her new dog, Mocha, down to meet the kids for the first time. They were SO EXCITED! The boys, Micah and Drew posed for me in a rare Daddy Daughter photo.
Aunt Jo(Who isn't really my kid's aunt, but they always refer to her in this way!) spent lots of time with the kids, giving piggy back rides and generally riling everyone up.
We always have so much fun with family and this fun event is no exception. There's no agenda at this party except to eat and visit, so we really enjoyed the fun, conversation and company.
Maura wanted to take a photo before we left. She's getting good at this!
