Fun at the Splash Party!

On Thursday, June 10th, we went to a splash birthday party for Maura's friend Lainey. I can't believe how much more difficult it is to get out of the house with two kids! As I left the house BOTH kids were crying and I was sweating it! I got to the party at 10:30, thinking I was a half hour late and I was thrilled to realize I was right on time. It was one of those moments that made me realize that I was going to have to become much more organized or spend the rest of my life in a perpetually late state! It was Tristan's first party and he celebrated by sleeping through all of it. Maura, on the other hand, had an absolute ball. They had pools, sprinklers, a slip and slide and bubbles. All these are among Maura's favorite things. We had a really fun morning.

Tristan turned five weeks old on Tuesday. He's certainly getting fuller in the face and even getting a double chin. What a cute little chunky monkey.

Maura in her "kini." Brent has said that he won't allow bikinis when she gets older, so we have to enjoy them now!

Birthday Girl Lainey. Maura could take a cue from her sweet smile on command.

One of the bigger kids put a riding toy in the pool and Maura was extremely upset! This was just not right and she wasn't satisfied until I fixed it!

Shannon enjoying some cuddle time with Tristan.

Maura and Lainey had fun picnicking together.

Maura and Jackson checking out the umbrella. There were ladybugs everywhere! Maura was fascinated. This girl is into all things bugs and worms!

Sweet birthday girl. Lainey turned two! This cupcake is as big as her head!

The kids were all fascinated by the candles. They were all trying to blow them out.

My kiddos enjoying the sun and "splashin." Hope this post was coherent. Tristan spent most of it screaming while Brent tried to quiet him. Ahh, life with a five week old. We're down in Tennessee for the weekend, so stay tuned for some fun Nan and Poppa posts.

Hilarious meltdown face in the pool. You and I need to have a chat about Maura's binini!
