Just a little snapshot of what life is like for us here in Georgia. We're enjoying our new home and the change of pace it brings us. We're LOVING our porch. After living in our house in Kentucky with it's blazing afternoon sun, it's so nice to have this covered porch. I can sit out here almost every day because it's shaded and there is a ceiling fan. If we ever have a chance to build our own house, we're getting a covered porch!

The Allen family at our "Georgia House," as Maura likes to call it. We're really settled in here now. I love using the porch swing. Our other favorite thing about the porch is the hummingbird feeder. The owners of the house left it for us, and we've really enjoyed watching the hummingbirds come and go. Brent helps water the tall flowers sometimes, since it's hard to muscle that watering can all the way up there.

Maura was catching the drops from the plant to reuse in her own watering can. What an ecologically friendly girl!(NOT! She runs the water in the sink as long as I will let her!) If you look at the sky, you can see a huge storm rolling in. We were out enjoying the back porch after dinner and it was really clouding up, but I didn't think much of it until the wind picked up and sent some branches crashing almost on our heads. We went into the house quickly after that.
Daddy brought all his equipment home and Maura loved the sleeping bag. She crawled inside and played for a long time. She's gotten into a stage where she wants me to take pictures of her making silly faces. This
definitely qualifies!

It was actually cool enough to take a walk the other morning. We've only walked twice now, since it's just too hot to get out most of the day. Maura and Tristan both wore their shades, at least for the minute it took Tristan to decide he didn't like his.
We're getting some serious play time in this kitchen. It's usually the first thing Maura heads for in the morning, and the food is generally the last thing we pick up in the evening. What a great gift, Grammy and
Pappap! My little chef is learning how to cook all sorts of things. We bake (pretend) chocolate chip cookies almost every day! Maura likes to crack the eggs the best. Behind us on the wall you can see our calender. We have been doing calender and weather time every day, along with learning a letter of the day. I'm having fun with it and I hope Maura is too. In the video below, you will see Maura and Brent doing
push ups together. I think it's so cute! Well, it's cute up until the time when Maura almost breaks Brent's nose!
