Ahh, fall in the Bluegrass. There is barely a chill in the air, but it is already time for football! Brent's team has been playing since mid August now and they're starting to see some big improvements. I want the kids to be involved with football and to see their daddy on the field, but it's really hard for me to take all three kids to the game by myself. We've missed most of the games so far, so when Chuck and
Sherran called to see if they could come to a game with us, we jumped at the chance. The kids couldn't wait to see their Nan and Poppa. Tristan asked all day when it was time to go to the football field and I think he was only slightly disappointed that they didn't come on motorcycles. I was most excited for them to see Bennett because they hadn't seen him for a while. He's really changed in that amount of time. Poppa couldn't get over how big he had gotten.

The kids were excited which means that they swarmed all over Nan and Poppa all evening. What a crew! We opted to take folding chairs and behind the end zone rather than braving the bleachers. Tristan tried to go kamikaze on me every game last year when he was on the bleachers! Maura told Nan all about her first day of school and how much fun she was having. Maura loved taking over Nan's lap and stealing all her snacks!

Bennett Boy just smiled and smiled at his grandparents. We'll make him a fan of football before too long. He was already sporting the team spirit! Nan loved visiting with her youngest grandson. He was so cuddly!

Brent came over to visit between games and at half time. He was so honored to have his parents there to see his team play. We think that they were good luck charms too--the teams both won their first games of the season!
Poppa enjoyed some great one on one time with Bennett when he got a little fussy and he just patted all the
fussies away.

Tristan just ate up all the attention from Nan and Poppa. He just idolizes Poppa. His favorite song at the moment is "Tristan and Poppa on the Big Green Tractor" to the tune of "The wheels on the Bus." Wearing Poppa's hat was lots of fun. We enjoyed our visit with Nan and Poppa so much and were so sad to have to leave before the end of the game, but the kids were getting
noticeably fussy and we decided to head out before any catastrophes happened. Thanks, Chuck and
Sherran, for making the long drive to come up as see a game and be with us. We enjoyed it so much!!
