The Best Way to Spread Christmas Cheer is Singing Loud for All to Hear!

Maura and Tristan's preschool puts on a Christmas program every year, followed by Breakfast with Santa. It's always a fun event, but this year it was just a little extra special. Both of my kids were able to be involved and the music teacher did such a wonderful job with all the kids that it just was precious! I couldn't wait to be there to hear my kiddos sing.
Grammy and Bennett came along for the musical program. Grammy hasn't missed too many of these precious memories! My girl filed into the auditorium with her class and immediately started looking for us. She was so excited to see us on the front row--she kept waving and waving!

Tristan's class was first. They gave a rousing rendition of Jingle Bells during which NONE of the kids sang, but they all waved their bells dutifully. After that, the bells were collected and snowflakes were handed out. Tristan was handed a broken snowflake. As you can see, he was not happy about it!

He had a lengthy discussion with the girl next to him about the broken snowflake, but in the end, he opted to participate and did all the motions with the maimed snowflake. I think he was pretty satisfied with his performance, because he came barrelling off the stage at the end of the songs and leapt into my arms for hugs and kisses.

Maura's class was up soon. As the big kids, they had something to prove. They did a beautiful job, first with Rudolf the Red Nosed Reindeer, then Picture This and finally the Shepard's Carol. It almost made me cry to hear those beautiful little voices singing about the wonder of Christ's birth. The program was wonderful and it was topped of with a precious slide show featuring our children dressed in costumes from the Nativity. Adorable.

Speaking of ADORABLE, it doesn't get much cuter than this!!
Below: We had breakfast and toward the end, we heard the sound of Santa's bells. We had just seen Santa the evening before at the zoo, so I wasn't sure if my kids were going to want to see him, but they did. We waited and waited and Tristan kept walking away from me to go peek at Santa. Eventually, Santa called to him, saying "Tristan, come here!" Tristan ran right up to Santa and sat in his lap--despite the fact that it wasn't our turn to see Santa! You just don't disobey the big man when he calls you by name!!

My sweet babies all enjoyed their Santa visit. Sadly, there's not enough room for all of them on Santa's lap anymore! Bennett, my good natured little elf didn't mind his visit with Santa. I bet that he'll be screaming his head off this time next year! All in all, it was a wonderful event and Ms. Patty does a spectacular job of making Christmas special for the students in her school. Thanks, Ms. Patty!
