Below: Tristan prepared for a wintry walk with Poppa. He LOVED his kitty cat hat!

Below: Nan purchased a puppet theater that the girls put to good use. Their little skits were so funny and generally involved birds and Santa.

When we needed a little downtime(and believe me, we needed some down time!) we tucked the kids away in the basement with a movie and popcorn. They weren't complaining!
Below: My favorite pretend game of the week had to be Santa's sleigh. Nan brought in the wooden sled and Maura hooked up Rudolf to pull the sleigh. They played on the sleigh for HOURS! Even Myla got in on the action!

Bennett was so entertained by watching the big kids in action. SO MUCH FUN! He just watched and giggled!
Below: Ava, Maura, Myla, Nan and Santa? take a sleigh ride!

Poppa's girl tried on a hat that belonged to her great great great grandmother! I thought she looked pretty cute!
Below: Dressing up was just the thing to do. They looked so Pinkalicious!

Below: Nan takes a turn with her youngest grandchild. He's a sweetie--still just so happy that he's being held!

That evening, we all gathered downstairs for a screening of Rudolf the Red Nosed Reindeer. It was Bennett's first viewing. I think he was hooked!

Below: On the morning of the 23rd, we met Grandmother Chambers at McDonald's for breakfast. Grandmother is a huge McDonald's fan and has coffee there every morning. Tristan walked into the restaurant and immediately spied a train. They had one on display under their Christmas tree. He was hooked and we couldn't keep him off the floor and away from the train.

Grandmother and Bennett posing by the McDonald's tree! Grandmother loved visiting with all the kids. They were wild, but she didn't seem to mind!

Amy and Myla, as well as Matt, Nan and Poppa all joined us at the McDonalds. We were a wild and crazy bunch. Maura shot a few photos for me, including the one below of Nan and Myla.

That evening, we celebrated our family Christmas. I had been sick all day, but felt better by the evening. I loved snuggling with my little ones, which is probably why they all ended up sick in the next few days!
Below: The kids were beyond excited at the prospect of celebrating Christmas!

Myla was always in the thick of things! Ava enjoyed ripping into the books we got her.

Brent got some cool new shades and Nan and Bennett enjoyed the happy atmosphere.

Below: Christmas Eve morning, we headed to Aunt Claudia's house for brunch.
